Why golfing holidays in Thailand "The Land of Smiles"
The Kingdom of Thailand has long been recognised as the most popular holiday destination in central Southeast Asia. As fascinating as the country are the amazing fun-loving Thai people who are warm and generous hosts.
Whether you are an adventure-seeker, a seasoned budget traveller, a shopper, a luxury spa resort goer, a scuba diver or a golfer, Thailand has it all for you.
Muang Kaew No. 1
BANGKOK POST
Our flagship course in Bangkok, the newly renovated Muang Kaew Golf Course in Bang Na, has been rated the number one golf course in Bangkok by the Thai Golf Association.
The rating is based on course condition, challenge, caddies, clubhouse, food and beverage, price and playing speed. The Schmidt-Curley design, a world-renowned golf course architect team, worked on the extensive redesign over the last18 months.
Thai courses sweep the honours
ASIAN GOLF WEEKLY
For the fourth consecutive year, Thailand reigned supreme as the 'Best golfing Destination in Asia' in the annual poll which honours the best golfing facilities in the region.
Based entirely on votes submitted by readers and subscribers, the 2003 edition of the Asian Golf Monthly Awards saw several of the favourites reconfirm their positions in the forefront of the sport.
According to Asian Golf Monthly readers, it's not only the fact that Thailand boasts more than 200 courses that makes it such as desirable destination, but of a population revered for it friendliness and an exchange rate that is favourable for the vast majority.
At the forefront of Thailand's continued hold on the top spot in Asia's destination golfing market, the Thai Country Club, on the outskirts of Bangkok, was again considered Asia's best in that category. In addition, the club's Denis Griffith-designed layout triumphed as the 'Best Course in Asia' and the 218-yard sixth hole was elected the 'Best Par-Three in Asia'.
Jack Nicklaus himself, who still makes regular visits to the region to inspect the progress at courses he is working on said: "Thanks to Asian Golf Monthly and its readers for this honour. We have had a wonderful relationship with the people throughout Asia for many years and we are happy to embrace our golf course design work...We hope this means that we, at Jack Nicklaus Design, continue to meet the demands and standards of golfers in Asia and that they will continue to enjoy our contributions to the growth of the game throughout the continent."
